People seek out counseling because they want something in life to be different. They want to minimize anxiety about their academic performance. They want to repair a strained relationship with their spouse or children. They want to build the confidence needed to make the next career move. They desire a deeper relationship with God. They want to experience change.
The Bible teaches that the life of a Christian involves change. Fundamentally, the Christian is being changed into the likeness of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul writes of this change in 2 Corinthians 3:18: “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”
I regularly invite my clients to step into change by faith and with the confidence that God has their benefit and His glory at the center of that change. As a counselor I am not immune to change and must follow the same path of faith that I offer to my clients. Having said that, let me share with you my exciting news of change!!
Beginning February 1, 2023, I will be counseling full-time at Seven Branches Counseling. This is a much anticipated change from serving the Lord at Denver Seminary full-time and serving my clients in a part-time capacity. I look forward to stepping into this change with the confidence that God will be glorified in my work.
